Percy Jackson and The Lightening Thief will soon be available in graphic-novel format (*Y-AAYY*). The artist is one talented ATTILA FUTAKI (how cool a name is that?!?) and I can't wait to lay my grimy paws on it.

Where the Sidewalk ends ~ Shel Silverstein

Where the Sidewalk Ends

There is a place where the sidewalk ends
And before the street begins,
And there the grass grows soft and white,
And there the sun burns crimson bright,

And there the moon-bird rests from his flight
To cool in the peppermint wind.
Let us leave this place where the smoke blows black
And the dark street winds and bends.

Past the pits where the asphalt flowers grow
We shall walk with a walk that is measured and slow,
And watch where the chalk-white arrows go
To the place where the sidewalk ends.

Yes we'll walk with a walk that is measured and slow,
And we'll go where the chalk-white arrows go,
For the children, they mark, and the children, they know
The place where the sidewalk ends.

*HELLBOY* ArtWork from DeviantArt.com

Was watching HellboyII: The Golden Army on HBO...and was quite entertained. Pretty cool flick....state-of-the-art technology, painstaking attention to detail and made all the more amusing thanks to Hellboy(Ron Perlman)'s caché of sarcastic quips, fisticuffs and dry-wit. The inner-geek in me was mighty pleased...

Say hello to my new favourite flawed-hero :)

One of the Family

I have an olde-worlde soul...and this painting ('One of the Family' by Frederick Cotman) captures my idea of a perfectly rustic, domestic household.
